Personal Reflection

EDU 702, Research Methodology is one of the core subjects for Master of Education. It is quite tough, with a lot of terms and formula which sometime scare me. But, after 14 weeks of part 1, there were a lot of things done under this course. Master program, for me is quite big different from bachelor degree, where I need to be more independent in my study.

I still remember, during our first meeting, our beloved lecturer, Prof. Dr. Teoh asked us to create our own blog. "Oh my God.... How I'm going to do it? I'm not that good in ICT." That was the time when I called my old friends and they willing to help me. Explained and guided me until I have my own blog, and now I am a blogger. For me, this is a new experience and I really love it.

There were a lot of assignments and presentations. Article Review assignment really tested my critical thinking and need me to make cross reference. We also had two tests which I think quite challenging but it helped me to understand better certain important parts of doing research. Thank God, I scored a good mark for my Test 1 and still waiting for Test 2 result.

Besides that, there were a lot of presentations where we need to prepare slides and other materials, individually and in group. It helped me to be creative to get my friends’ attention. Q and A session used to share experiences, knowledge and opinion with my lecturer and colleagues.

We also struggled to prepare a research proposal. It’s quite challenging because there are not many relevant books can be found in the INTEC Library. So, I chose to find articles, journals, previous researches and relevant materials from the Internet. Thank God.... I have a very supportive, understanding and always willing to help us. So, we did not face many problems with this course.

Even though it requires me to spend a lot of time, besides my responsibility as a teacher, but I really enjoy it. I had a good time in my journey to complete my study. To all my friends, thank you for your help and support and may our dreams come true.
